Fisher Arnold provided construction-phase engineering and high-accuracy surveying services for the replacement of the West Approach Spans of the BNSF Railroad Bridge over the Mississippi River in West Memphis, AR. The original bridge was completed in 1892 and was the first bridge ever built to span the Mississippi River south of St. Louis, MO. Bridge Movement Monitoring was necessary since the existing railroad bridge remained active during construction of the new bridge structure. Fisher Arnold developed software analysis and cloud-based data sharing solutions to pair with their use of sub-millimeter robotic total stations to monitor bridge health during construction of the replacement structure.
